I feel about yeah (.) big

I'm setting at the book store -that's the only place I can get any silence anymore. Well. I'm sitting there and I keep over hearing this guy, mid-forties talking to this kid, twelve, the kid said he was. This guy and this kid are caring on a conversation about, Physics and the Unified field Theory. So I'm like alright I took Physics for a semester in college and instead of politely telling them to shut up or my inner demon is going to get you -I start looking that way. Not forcing myself into the conversation, but showing an interest. They politely joined me in. Bad mistake on my part.

It turns out that this twelve year old has an IQ of like 215 and is a JR in college. My self esteem sunk ten notches and it didn't take more than a minute for this kid to put me in my place and I shoved my head back up my ass as I walked away to get myself a cup of coffee and some peace and quite.

rebeloutionaries

I was surfing around and found this interesting news clip that makes me thank maybe there's a chance for a new reveloution -or as I call it Rebeloutionary Generation.

Protesting (peacefully) is something that it seems, or I had thought, we Americans had forgot how to do. It makes me wonder if this is some new era of the hippie reveloution/beat generation being reborn. That's not a bad thing -we need it. Or freedom and rights could be ripped right out from underneath us if we don't get up off the couch, turn off the mind fuck programming boob-tub media generating disease and say: ENOUGH!

I for one get goosebumps and would love to shake the hands of those kids with a good job pat on the back keep it up.

Makes me want to get up and protest stuff!

LET THE REBELOUTIONARIES BEGIN!!!

Well shit

I tried to get something that looks right using a blog, but I've just decided that the basics is going to suit me with this blog template. So I guess this is it. I like it -it fits.

The rain is back... I'm getting sick of the constant drizzle haze and fog spitting in your face as if it were some cobra destined to ruin your day. I would be able to deal with the weather a little a better if the rain would pour it's ass off for a few hours and be done with it -but this mist and fog and gray gloominess enveloping the sky -hiding the sun as if it where a kidnapper pulling a pillow case over your face kinda' screws with your senses. Blaaaa... And the rain is going to last all next week. I understand why there are more suicides in the winter -the winter sucks. I'm gonna move to Mexico. That's what I'm going to do. Live with amigos in drunken sunsets. I thank it would be cool. A little third world existence would do me good. Settle in some tiny straw shack with mud walls and a pretty olive skinned Mexican sweetie to keep me warm in the desert nights drinking sand and grit soaked beer all day to past the time, I'd write like Jack Kerouac... "The Mexican Blues" I'd call it. Sing to me sweet Spanish Serenade under skys where I can see the Milky Way dust of star flake souls that have been and are yet to be.

I'll just end up staying in this shit hold of a town dreaming about getting out and if I ever do get out... Well, I'm human -I'll hate that place too.

"American Promise" -the novel that I'm working on right now is turning out to be something interesting and a tad bit unusual. Don't get me wrong, I like how it's coming -would like to be coming along faster, thou you can't always get what you want -so I'll take it as it comes. Most of the problem with the story's speed is I'm trying a lot of new things I've not ever done before in a story on the -plot -character -dialog and such. I'll get it done. There's no doubt about that. Luckily, I don't have an agent and/or publisher screaming at me to hurry up and get it finished. I really feel for published writers. I write because I enjoy telling stories and writing. They write because they have to.

Well this is it, my little blog on the net. Mostly it will just be me talking about things that I do, read, see, and have done to me. No, I'm not going to tell you about that. I'll keep it a tad-bit less personal.

Excuse the mess

For all you folkies passing through here, plese excuse the mess, I just started this blog a week ago and I'm wanting to make it my blog not some pre-made template. I'll have it done shortly, promise.

Things have the same today, without all the rain we've been having out here. I got caught up earlier in a chat with an old friend I hadn't heard from in lke forever. It was nice to talk with them. I hope we can keep in better touch. We all have our own lives to contend with so I doubt it. But at least we do chat every once in awhile in a blue moon.

How was everyone's turkey day... stuffed. Ha! I'm such a commodin aren't I. Just kidding, hope it was great and the rest of the holiday season even better.

Alrighty, I'm off to try and finish this thing (blog) up. Hope it looks a little better than it does right now. That scroll bar in the main blog view was a bitch. I damn near had to hack the entire template just to get it to work. Oh well, tiss going to look better when I'm done. Promise.

Iran_Iraq_nukes

Just got through reading an article that Iran already wants exemption with the EU so it can keep "testing" nuclear centrifuges.

I understand partly where Tehran is coming from. Nuclear energy can be an alternative fuel and energy supply but you have to admit that all this nuke talk can get you a little balled up with anger inside.

I'm not one of those media induced paranoia types, but I do fear this type of power in the wrong hands. Iran and Terrorism is no new subject and we already know how they feel about the European culture of "infantiles." I would probable feel the same way if in their shoes.

Than you have Iraq, I don't support that war in the slightest bit. There were, and the US/British knew that there were no nuclear weapons in Iraq. Maybe it was oil. Oil prices jumped over a dollar as soon as George Bush was re-elected. Maybe it was some old family matters that Bushes daddy didn't settle in the Gulf War. Or... Maybe the intentions really were good. After all the war has claimed thousands of Iraqi lives, that's got to count for something right? If you said yeah, go fuck yourself. No life is expendable!

Whatever the reasons I thank that North Korea really is a bigger threat. I have a friend stationed in Korea, I can't find anything to prove or disprove this, but he says they were told if North Korea came across the border they would occupy all of South Korea in a matter of three days, it would take over a week to get US reinforcements in place. We already know that North Korea has at least three Nuclear warheads capable of reaching San Francisco California population in the near millions. But we keep falling back on our talks of peace with them. And for those that don't already know, the war in the 1950's was not ever declared over, only a peace treaty was signed. And North Korea has a way of backing out of those.

Who's the biggest threat: Iran/ Iraq/ The Middle East, North Korea, or is just Nuclear Weapons in general. Let's get rid of all the damn things than they'll be no problems with one country wanting them because the other has them.

go_Gmail_GO

Finally, I got my gmail invite from someone that I don't even know named John Paul, Thank you John Paul you are the man.

As for Gmail, so far I'm liking it. I've been pretty big on Google News for awhile and was hoping they'd tie it in nicer than what they have. So far the only way to get to google news from your email is when your inbox is empty it gives you a link in the empty space. Google! fix that. I want to be able to go from my inbox to news at anytime with just a click of the mouse! I mean it!

beginners_luck

Just got finished reading "Beginner's Luck" by Laura Pedersen. It's an interesting read with original plot twists of a young girl, Hallie (sixteen), in her teenage-mid-life-crisis broke from gambling her savings away at the race track in hopes of scoring big to afford that car she so desperately wants, giving her the chance to leave her seven family household, with one in her mother's burner, heading for the big lights of LA. She doesn't actually get there though.

Finding a flyer for a twelve dollar an hour groundskeeper job she ends up in the house of a very eccentric family (I'll leave that for you to discover), droping out of school, accused of stealing two thousand dollars, and kicked out of the city poker game.

If you're looking for a good read that has bundle of giggles, than this is a must read by a very talented writer (and kinda' sexy too). It's not the best in visual narration but it keeps you reading wondering just what is going to happen next. I put it up there with Christopher Moore and Tim Sandlin style though Sandlin is more visual in with his narration. This, to me is something of a talent that not many writers of today... I don't want to say possess... more of...hum? take the time to weave into their work showing the characters and physically moving them around.

It's worth the twelve bucks and a few nights company curled up in rose pedal guilt sipping on your favorite nightly beverage until Sleepy Man takes you away into dreams. That I assure you of.

I give it an eight out of ten. Check it out. It seems that there's a sequel to the novel that I've yet to find but I will most definitly be reading to see what crazy old bat Ollivia is protesting this time.
